Board Member Orientation

The leadership of the church board greatly impacts whether or not a local church develops into a healthy, multiplying church. Because we have a never-ending commitment to help every church improve, Dr. Brian Wangler, Lead Pastor of Chicago First Church has created an excellent video resource for you to use. Its purpose is to provide an orientation to newly elected Church Board members. Here Dr. Wangler overviews the 5 responsibilities of board members.

1. To be the spiritual leaders of the church.

2. With the Pastor and Staff, to identify barriers to growth and remove them.

3. To be ambassadors to the local church for mission and vision.

4. To care for the pastor and staff.

5. To be the formal Board of Directors of the local church.
